If you want to sell your home for more, appeal to foodies.
That is the underlying message of recent research from Zillow revealing that homeowners with listings that tout chef-friendly amenities sell their homes for more money than sellers who can’t brag about such features.
In all, there are 10 appliances and other home features that help garner a notably higher sales price in today’s market. And they appeal to buyers who are not chefs as well.
The first of these features can add around $17,400 to the typical home’s expected sale price. Following are a few appliances and other features that can drive your sale price higher.
Steam oven
Home listings that mention this feature typically sell for: 5.3% more than expected
Steam ovens draw water from a tank into a boiler. The steam is released into the oven cavity. Cooking times are faster than with a traditional convection oven.
This is the second straight year that steam ovens ranked No. 1 in Zillow’s home feature analysis.
Pizza oven
Home listings that mention this feature typically sell for: 3.7% more than expected
It’s not every home that features a built-in pizza oven. So, listings that offer this feature can stand out from the pack.
Professional appliances

Foodies love professional appliances because they stand up to intensive use. They also may offer bonus features such as additional burner space or more room in the refrigerator.
Terrazzo

Terrazzo is a composite material used in floor and wall treatments. It contains chips of marble, granite, glass or other materials. Terrazzo fends off microbial growth and prevents moisture buildup.
A ‘she shed’

A “she shed” is often viewed as the female equivalent of a “man cave.” These standalone structures typically are built for a backyard.
Soapstone

Quartz
