Over 174K Frigidaire Gas Ranges Recalled. See Which Models.

Frigidaire’s parent company has recalled nearly 175,000 gas ranges sold at Lowe’s, Home Depot, and other retailers nationwide over burn concerns, according to an announcement shared on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) website.

Electrolux Group recalled the gas ranges after 30 reports of burn injuries. According to the company, at least 62 customers reported that the oven’s bake burner ignited late.

The North Carolina-based manufacturing company said about 174,800 of the ranges were sold in the United States, and about 5,300 in Canada.

According to Electrolux, the recall includes over 20 Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional Gas Range models.

The company said customers who have the ovens should stop using them and contact Electrolux Group for a free repair. The company will install new bake burners at no cost.

“Consumers can continue to use the cooktop burners on the range,” the company said.
