Jif Announces ‘Simpler’ Take on Beloved Peanut Butter Recipe

Jif says it’s giving the fans what they want.

The “people’s peanut butter” brand is now offering a “simpler” take on the spread customers know, with “Unsweetened Creamy,” a product made with three ingredients: peanuts, salt and palm oil.

In addition to a “streamlined ingredient list” featuring U.S.-farmed peanuts, Unsweetened Creamy is the “perfect, no-guesswork solution for families looking for a delicious, straightforward snack,” Jessica Fair, vice president of marketing at The J.M. Smucker Co., said in a statement.

“Jif is stripping back the ingredient label without sacrificing the iconic flavor fans crave,” The J.M. Smucker Company-owned brand said in a March 10 news release.

Jif’s Unsweetened Creamy is the newest product for the brand’s “Simply” lineup, with “additional varieties” coming soon. Each 15-ounce jar contains 8 grams of plant-based protein per serving.

“No matter how it’s enjoyed — mixed into oatmeal, yogurt, or smoothies; spread on toast or rice cakes; or even in stir-fry sauces and stews for more peanutty-goodness, it’s pure deliciousness,” Jif added.

Here’s what to know about Jif Simply Unsweetened Creamy and where to get it.
