Qdoba Giving Away Free Queso, Chips for Full Moon, Total Lunar Eclipse

The full moon is here, which means Qdoba will once again offer its Signature 3-Cheese Queso or Queso Diablo dips for free.

On Tuesday, March 3, a full moon will take place, which means the offer is returning to Qdoba. This full moon is also a total lunar eclipse.

The fast-casual restaurant chain will offer a 4-ounce serving of its Signature 3-Cheese Queso or Queso Diablo dips, along with tortilla chips, for free whenever there is a full moon in 2026, according to a news release. The offer is valid only with the purchase of a Qdoba entree and is exclusively available to Qdoba Rewards Members.

For the remainder of 2026, there will be 12 full moons, including a blue moon in May.

When will Qdoba give away queso and chips?

Qdoba will be giving away free queso and chips on the day of a full moon.

In March, Qdoba will be offering the deal on Tuesday, March 3.

The offer is valid for dine-in, on the Qdoba app and online at Qdoba.com, according to the news release. The deal can be combined with the purchase of any of Qdoba’s entrées, such as its burritos and bowls.

What is Qdoba offering?

Qdoba Rewards Members can receive a 4-ounce serving of the restaurant’s Signature 3-Cheese Queso or Queso Diablo and a 4-ounce serving of chips.

Diners must purchase an entree to receive the offer.

People can become Qdoba Rewards Members by joining online at Qdoba.com/rewards or at a Qdoba location.

When will the moon be full in 2026?

The moon will be full on the following dates, according to the Farmer’s Almanac:

  • Worm Moon (total lunar eclipse) – March 3 (This is also often called the “blood moon” because of the reddish glow the moon will have.)
  • Pink Moon – April 1
  • Flower Moon – May 1
  • Blue Moon – May 31 (The blue moon occurs when two full moons occur in the same month. The last blue moon occurred on Aug. 19, 2024, according to Space.com.)
  • Strawberry Moon – Peaks June 29, at 7:57 p.m. ET
  • Buck Moon – July 29
  • Sturgeon Moon (partial lunar eclipse) – Aug. 28
  • Harvest Moon – Sept. 26
  • Hunter’s Moon – Oct. 26
  • Beaver Moon (super moon) – Peaks Nov. 24, at 9:53 a.m. ET
  • Cold Moon (super moon) – Peaks Dec. 23, at 8:28 p.m. ET
