Free museum admission for BoA cardholders — Feb. 4-5

If you’re a Bank of America credit or debit cardholder, you’re in for a treat. The company’s Museums on Us program grants free admission to more than 225 cultural institutions across the country during the first full weekend of every month.

Free frozen yogurt — Feb. 6

In honor of National Yogurt Day — which falls of Feb. 6 — TCBY is offering guests 6 free ounces of frozen yogurt. And if you happen to live near a self-serve store, toppings are fair game.

Participating Menchie’s locations are also celebrating the sweet holiday by offering buy-one-get-one frozen yogurt all day long. Plus, if you scan the app in the store from Feb. 7-20, you can score double smiles as part of the Menchie’s rewards program.

Free TV programming for Comcast internet subscribers — throughout 2023

If you’re an Xfinity, Flex or X1 internet subscriber, get fired up for a spate of new network and streaming shows. Comcast has rolled out Free This Week, in which it is offering new programming every week of the year.

For instance, customers can enjoy free programming on HBO Max through Feb. 5. To learn what’s available at any time, just check the On Demand menu or say “Free This Week” into your voice remote. Learn more.

Tax-free shopping — starting Feb. 18-20

Looking forward to your state’s annual sales tax holiday? You don’t have to wait long in Maryland. The Old Line State hosts its tax-free shopping bonanza from Feb. 18-20 this year.

Residents will enjoy tax savings on Energy Star products, so it’s a great time to buy that new washer and dryer set you’ve been eyeing.

Alabama residents can also enjoy a sales tax break on hurricane supplies and generators this month from Feb. 24-26.

Volunteer tax preparers across the nation will do your taxes for free, provided your annual income is $60,000 or less. Others also may qualify for the service. Visit this IRS webpage to learn more.

Those who make $73,000 or less can use the IRS Free File program, a partnership between the IRS and makers of commercial tax-preparation software. With this service, you can prepare and file your federal individual income tax return for free using tax software. Learn more at this IRS webpage.
